Selection Phase of Sharif AI Challenge 2016

Regarding your participation in AI Challenge, we announce that online phase will be officially started at 10th of February 17:30 (GMT). Participants can submit their codes until 17th of February at 17:30 (GMT) on contest ‘HomePage’ 

At first head of the team should finalize team members in ‘my team’ page. Please consider that after finalization changing members or name of team isn’t possible anymore. If you have finalized your team by mistake, you can inform organizing committee in ‘contact us’ in order to take proper action.

After beginning of contest and finalizing team by head of team, contest documents will be available in ‘my team’ page. Also you will be able to submit your codes and hold friendly match against other teams in ‘my team’ page in near future. As soon as addition of these features, it will be announced in weblog.

After contest deadline and holding a tournament between submitted codes by teams, top 48 teams that qualify for being present in final phase (Sharif University of Technology) will be determined according to contest document. In addition, there will be another contest between top 16 teams who can not be present in final phase and top 3 teams will be awarded memorials of contest.

You can ask your related questions in ‘QA page’ and it will be answered by technical team as soon as possible.

News and changes in online contest procedure will be announced in contest ‘weblog’, so it’s highly recommended to visit ‘weblog’ frequently in order to be informed of latest news.

Complications in sending the competition’s emails

Due to enormous amount of registrations in the competition, and limitations in sending emails via Gmail servers in a day, we have to apologize that sending some of registration verification emails have been failed. The technical team is aware of this problem and is working on fixing it.

Extension of the registration time and Information on Online phase

 We are to announce that the final moratorium time of Sharif AI Challenge 2016 has beet extended until 9:00 PM, February 12th 2016, and this time wont be extended further.

The online competition will begin 9:00 PM, February 10th ,2016, and the participating teams can submit their codes till 9:00 PM, February 17th ,2016, at the website of Sharif AI challenge.48 teams will enter the final phase.

In order to take part in final phase, team leaders have to finalize their registration at “My Team” page. Notice that after this finalization there shall not be any changes on the team members or the team’s name.

Explanation and further information about competition and judging criteria in this phase will be announced.

New feature of joining to teams

People who do not have team can enter team’s page and request for joining the team that is not  completed yet.Then head of the team can accept or refuse this request.

Registration guide of the contest

Registering for AI Challenge contest has been officially started via contest ‘Home Page’.In order to register each member of team should have an account in main website individually.

For creating an account go to our Home Page,enter “signup” part.Then fill the signup form with appropriate information.After submitting the form, a confirmation mail will be sent to your email and by clicking on the link in confirmation mail you will enter homepage again. This email may enter your junk. Please check your spam as well.

For adding picture to your profile, you can see gravatar.com.

In addition team's foreman can remove or change team members,likewise members can leave their team.Also people can enter team’s page and request for joining the team and head of team can accept or refuse this request.

But consider that any change in team structure is allowed until the end of registration and after deadline any team that doesn't have complete members ,can't participate in final (site) phase of contest.

After all members of team has created an account,one of team members should enter “my team” part and create a team by choosing a name.Then enter other members emails in order to add them to the team.An invitation mail will be sent to other members and after confirming that,they will join the team.

Unfortunately, we are to announce that the web page of the competitions has become out of service since this morning,due to network problems at the Sharif Computing Center. According to the estimations, the problem will be solved in a few hours.

Sharif AI Challenge 2016

Sharif AI Challenge will be held at March 2016 with the support of Student Scientific Chapter (SSC) of Sharif Computer School.

In Fact this competition is  The 8^th JavaChallenge and because this year we officially support C++ and Python, the named changed to Sharif AI Challenge.

This year, Challenge will be held in 2 phases and it will be international, Students can participate in teams of 3 persons, to register in this Challenge, visit our HomePage.

In this years competition, a game is designed by our technical team and participants must develop a program based on game rules and send it to our server, at the end, these programs will compete each other and the team with higher score will be the winner.

Registeration can be done from February 1^st to February 9^th.

Selection Phase will be held on February 10^th and it will continue until February 17^th, in this week, participants should send their code to our servers through our website. Top 32 teams will be selected and they will be invited to participate in our onsite and final phase which will be held on March 2^nd and 3^rd in Sharif University of Technology, Computer School.
